Have you ever walked into a clothing store, spotted something you liked, only to discard it after a closer look, thinking you are too old to wear something like that?
You are never too old to look fashionable!
Meet 72-year-old Günther Anton Krabbenhöft from Berlin, Germany. He has an Instagram account with more than sixteen thousand followers and manages his Facebook profile like a pro.
Look at this kick-ass attire. This is a long way from the typically faded dad-jeans. I think the combination of dark denim, west, and a crisp white shirt with a bow tie is brilliant. Topped by an iPhone with earbuds – the only thing that makes you think about age is his face.
Björn Akstinat of the German fashion blog Schickaa first spotted him in 2015. Since then, he has been featured in Cosmopolitan and a number of other fashion magazines. Today, he is considered the most fashionable grandpa in Germany. I’ve seen articles proclaiming that he’s 104 years old. According to Wikipedia, he was born in 1945, that makes him 72 this years old.
Mr. Krabbenhöft used to work as a chef before he retired. Now, he love’s to go clubbing. He’s a regular at Berghain, a club so hard to get into that The Telegraph wrote a piece called Berghain: how to get into Berlin’s most exclusive nightclub.
There is nothing wrong with a modern slim-fit suit as long as you ar not too corpulent. The older you get, the more important it is to show the world that you still master the details. The blue shoe laces and the matching leather accessories tell you that Mr. Krabbenhöft is a man that leaves nothing to coincidence.
Create your own style
Style does not have to be very expensive, but I would like to point out that it is better to invest in a few quality items than a load of cheap rags.
- Find items that are modern or timeless classics
- Make sure that you are comfortable with what you are wearing.
- Don’t dress to “look younger”
- Invest in new technology. Nothing says old like a dated Nokia.
